Happy Juneteenth!

Today marks the 155th anniversary of Juneteenth, the day when the last slaves in the South were freed. This is sometimes known as the "second independence day" of the US. However, Northern slaves were not freed until 1865 with the ratification of the Thirteenth Amendment, and the work towards racial equity and justice continues to this day.
